Electric Field , Electric Field Intensity ,

 Electric Field :

The space or regaion in which electric line of force are exprinced by the test charge this is known as electric field.

. By nature it is a vector quantity and has the same direction as that of field line

. There are two types of theories given for electric field.

i). Action atva distance theory.

ii).  Field theory

. It's S.I Unit is N/c or volt /meter.

Electric Field Intensity :

The strength of electric field is known as Electric Field Intensity

force per unit charge is knowb as Electric Field Intensity

Or

The force exprinced per unit text charge is also known as electric field intensity.

. It is denoted by E^-

. It's formula is E^- =F^-/q

. By nature it is a vector quantity.

. It's S. I unit is N/c or volt/meter and it is same as that of (i) electric field (ii)  potential gradient  (iii).  Electric flux density.

. Electric field intensity is perpendicular to the surface drawn round the point charge.

. The electric field intensity can be stated as " the ratio of electric flux to the vector area "

. It can also stated as " the ration of electric potential  to the smaller displacement. "
