Electric Line Of Force and Configuration of electric line of force

 Electric Line Of Force : 

The path doing which the test charge moves is called electric line of force 

. Electric  line of force originate  from the positive point charge and terminate at the negative points charge. 

The electric line of force never intersect each other any point that is why it has a specific direction. 

. Electric line of force don't pass through the conductors. 

. Electric line of force can pass through the insulation. 

. The electric line of force constitute the electric field around any point charge or source charge. 

. Electric line of force are stronger near the source charge and are weaker at some distance from it 

. The direction of electric field due to positive point charge is outward where as it's direction due to negative point charge is inword. 

. Configuration of electric line of force. 


1). Electric line of force due to positive point charge are always outword. 

2). The electric line of force seem to be terminating at the negative point charge. 

3). Electric line of force due to a positive point charge and negative point charge seem to br originating from the positive point charge and terminating at the negative point charge. 

4). Electric lines of force due to two positive point charge  seem to be repedling each other and there is no field at that point  where  field lines don't exist. 

5). Electric line of force  due to two oppositely charged plates seem to be moving from positively charge platecto negatively charged plate.  


. Where the electric lines of force are parellel to each other and are at equally distant then the electric field is saild to be uniform. 

. The field is said to be non - uniform  When the lines of force are cunverd and are at different distances. 

 6). The electric lines of force due to a positive point charge and negativity charge plate seem to be attracted from the positive point charge to negativity charged plates.
